Tacos with Homemade Seasoning

Tacos with Homemade Seasoning

Taco Tuesday for a fast & easy meal? Yep in my house!  I double the recipe and freeze the leftovers for a quick lunch or dinner when life "lifes".

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Old Time grass-fed ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp salt (I like Kosher or sea salt)
  • Homemade Taco Seasoning (below) or store-bought
  • 1/2 cup water
  • taco shells
  • shredded cheddar cheese
  • lettuce, tomato, onion, and other condiments as desired

Homemade Taco Seasoning:

  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 3/4 tsp paprika
  • 3/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 3/4 tsp onion powder
  • 3/4 tsp cumin
  • 3/4 tsp cornmeal (optional to thicken)

Directions:

  1. Mix all seasonings except salt.
  2. Sprinkle salt is hot skillet & add ground beef.
  3. Sprinkle seasonings over ground beef.
  4. Add 1/2 cup water.
  5. Cook ground beef until browned.

Serve on soft or crunchy tacos or in a salad.
